Why are we so weary? Our diaries are packed. But is the problem deeper than that? How do we find contentment in a world of overactivity?
In our hyperconnected world, life feels busier than ever. Many of us are exhausted and frayed. Our schedules are crammed full. We’re trying to do too much. But is the problem more than bad diary management? We have to look deeper. We’re consumed by the pursuit of the impossible: we want a job that we love, an instagrammable social life, the perfect partner, and a deep sense of personal fulfilment. The sheer weight of expectations, either from ourselves or from others, can feel crushing. We’re increasingly unsettled as we attempt to define ourselves and figure out the purpose of our lives. And, all the while, social media makes us feel like we should have achieved more.
Is our overachievement driven by a sense of discontent? Do we need to reconsider our assumptions about life? What does ancient wisdom have to say about our contemporary condition? And what does the Christian faith have to say to our weariness? Join our speaker, Jeremy Moses, as he explores how we find peace in a world of overwhelming demands.

SaltLive events are aimed at curious Londoners, exploring questions of faith, philosophy and life. Each evening includes a talk from an engaging speaker, plenty of drinks & nibbles, and time for Q&A. Some of the events are focused on common objections to the Christian faith, while others explore popular contemporary questions. Salt is a project of Grace London, a young church based in central London.
