“…Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
living life in peace…”
(John Lennon, Imagine, 1971)

John Lennon thought the world would be better off without religion, and many today would agree with him. We no longer think that religion is a harmless choice; it’s widely seen as a dangerous delusion. Religion causes many of humanity’s greatest problems: division, intolerance and conflict.

And yet, religion isn’t dying. Globally, religious adherence is expected to grow over the next 30 years. Religious people report higher levels of personal satisfaction and meaning. How can both be true? Is religion part of the problem or is it the solution?

Whether you’re a skeptic, a believer, or an impartial observer, join us for a thought-provoking evening, with our speaker Simon Edwards, as he wrestles with whether religion is dangerous and whether Christianity has anything to say on the subject.
